If you levelled you mining up to the stage where you can mine for Gold and Silver, there is a mine east of Monarch's Bluff that will give you a nice easily accessible supply of Gold and Silver.
The area is in Devil's Quarry (see above map) and is recommended level 7, so chance are if you can mine for Silver you'll be be safe in the area with out to much issue
The nodes are scattered about a little bit but are not to hard to find, the main two area are marked on the map. Respawn time for medium Gold node is between 15-20 minutes, So I would recommend start at the top point shown, then work down. There are a few Supply Crates and Ingredient Crates about so you can get those to kill some time if you are waiting about for the nodes to respawn.
If you have levelled mining up to 100, you'll also find some Starmetal nodes in the quarry
